I've been typing out recipes all morning for a friend and I to use. I have them on my other blog,

They are all healthy and delicious! If you want a healthy lifestyle and food to match it, go check them out.

Here's a recipe to try:

Place almonds in food processor and process to a fine meal. Add remanin ingredients, except 18 almonds, and process until well blended. Daily Dose of Lilies

Youngest to oldest:

Introducing Liliani (Pretty Flower from Heaven) she's a dazzling jewel, has a little face to melt your heart:

I used her scarf as a little cover skirt to go over her leggings, but the leggings looked so cheap and cheesy I ended up putting her navy blue shorts on and using the scarf as a "turbine" type look on her head.

Introducing Caleb (Faithful and Brave)-he's always cooking something up:

Introducing Jeremiah Luke (Uplifted by God/ Worshipful):

Jeremiah had surgery in his nose last week, so his pictures show his recovering face.

 Introducing Mom (aka Mariah):
It's hard to keep the bathroom mirror clean with 3 kids who are constantly using it. It's all good.

My outfit is ALL wrong. The scarf isn't working to balance my tiny upper body with my larger lower body, it's just encouraging it further. The shirt is doing the same thing because of the brown at the bottom, hitting the, ahem, widest part of my hips.

Love this Guess shoes though
My boys dress themselves 9 out of 10 days. I love to see what they come up with and I love to see them display their creativity and mood. Lili still lets me get her dressed...yay. I hope she keeps it up.

Mini-Bible Study on Beauty

One of the most beautiful displays in a person is humility. Reading that Jesus was humble helps us envision Him as beautiful, doesn't it? With scars and all.

Isa 53:7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth.

I read a interesting verse in Job 40:10, "Then adorn yourself [with] majesty and splendor, And array yourself with glory and beauty."

The context behind this was that the Lord was answering Job; after Job tried to "rebuke" God. If you can read the whole chapter, do it. It's pretty awesome.

So, God's saying (my paraphrase version), "Job, you think you can be me; you think you can preform like me? Ok, check it: Make yourself clothed in majesty and splendor, show off your glory and beauty."

Do you feel like sometimes you want to show off YOUR glory and beauty? I know I do. It's a big struggle for me to want to be noticed. But what does God say our role is? And the role He chose to take while on earth:

Jam 4:10 "Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up."

Humility = Beauty...shine for Jesus, like He shined for us!!!

Daily Dose of Lilies

This is the first post of the Daily Dose of Lilies!

It's laundry day and we are having a heat wave, so this is our attire:

Feeling cooler w/o shirt-Gymboree Swimshorts

Shirt-Children's Place, Shorts-Gymboree (both around $3)

I'm still learning how to french braid, it takes practice I guess.

On Mariah: Dress-Ross, Shoes-Kohls, Necklace-Forever 21, Headband DYI

This "head band" was a DIY project as easy as pie. I took a scarf slid it through a ring I had (from Forever 21)and voila.

Just woke up: Shirt-The Children's Place, Shorts-Target

It's very torturous to see these totally UNphotoshopped pics. Especially in a blog-sphere with so much photographic talent going 'round.

Women age 40+ (what NOT to wear)

So, I'm actually excited I stumbled upon this blog. Here's a post I should have wrote, but since someone else did, I'll just redirect you to their page.

My personal opinion is, that at any age we shouldn't be wearing these items, minus the nail art, and feather in hair.

What do you think about that post?

Pixie Pix

I have to give a shout out to my photographer (she's not really a photographer, but a friend who came with me):

Isn't her makeup pretty? She hardly ever wears makeup so we went to the MAC counter, haha, and I asked them to glam her up. Pretty!

Today is the DAY I get my pixie cut!

I just wanted to update everyone on my hair progress. I decided to bite the bullet and go with the pixie cut first, then grow it into a bob.  Pictures to come, cheer a little for me today.

Another look into FALL 2011-COLORS

Here are some COLORS to expect for  FALL 2011:

 BLUE- this shade-

 RED- this shade-

 Black and White-

Essentials for WOMEN list #13 A cashmere sweater (or cotton) in your POP color.

Fall 2011 sweater
#13 A cashmere sweater (or cotton) in your POP color.

Column 1- For a O body type:

Keep your neckline V-neck, of course. Keep your selves elbow length or longer. The middle and last sweater are for those who have a smaller waist than chest.  The colors in this column from top to bottom are: Clear or Deep, Clear or Cool, Light or Soft.

Column 2- For a B body type:

If you tend to gain weight in your belly you'll want your sweater to not be a thick material, but something medium knit sizes, that skims across your body. Let it fall past your tummy an onto hips or longer, depending on if you're tall or short and the style your after. If you have short legs, don't wear it too long, it'll dwarf you down even more( I have that problem). The colors in this column from top to bottom are: Warm, Soft or Light, Clear or Deep.

Column 3- For an X body type:
It's fun to play up this shape. Belted sweater are great, as well as, printed designs that flatter your hourglass figure.  The colors in this column from top to bottom are:Deep, Soft, Clear.

Column 4- For a D body type:

So, it you wear pants to conceal your bottom half (darker shades), and if you don't let your sweaters hit at the widest point of your hips, than you have MANY fun options for sweaters. ALL three of the sweaters in this column are fun and play this shape well. The cowl neck is great on pear shaped bodies. Prints on a sweater that draw attention upward are great too. The colors in this column from top to bottom are:Light, Soft, Clear or Deep

LOL about that funky sweater on the right, it didn't mean to make it on here. sorry, i can't remove it. it's fun though.
